County Fact Sheets

County Fact Sheets were developed for each of the 67 counties and the state. The majority of the data is from the 1980 and 1990 Census of Population and Housing. Information on population projections is from a study completed by the PaSDC in 1998 called Detailed County Population Projections: Pennsylvania 1990-2020. The 1999 population estimates were prepared by the Census Bureau. Detailed 1999 population estimates by age and gender were completed by the PaSDC in December 2000. Building permit information is from the Construction Division, U.S. Bureau of Census and for this study covers the years 1995-1999.
