Homeowners

If you already have a PHFA loan, we encourage you to set up an online profile by logging in to our secure loan servicing center. There you can find answers to questions about your mortgage and access your specific account information including balances and history.

Pennsylvania residents who are facing foreclosure may be eligible for assistance through PHFA’s Homeowners’ Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (HEMAP), through Act 91 of 1983.

Individuals not eligible for HEMAP assistance can learn more about other alternatives to foreclosure on our Additional Foreclosure Prevention Information page.

Assistance is also available to homeowners who have individual on-lot sewage disposal systems that need to be repaired or replaced.  To learn more about this program, visit our PENNVEST Individual On-Lot Sewage System Repair Program page.

The Renovate and Repair Loan Program provides financing for homeowners to make renovations to improve the basic livability of their homes, as well as repairs to items affecting health, safety, energy efficiency, accessibility, and code violations.

The REfinance to an Affordable Loan Program (REAL) offers attractive 30-year fixed rates for mortgage refinances. Because it combines 100 percent financing with flexible credit underwriting, it may offer relief to homeowners who otherwise may not qualify for typical mortgage refinance programs.
